Albatross is a personality-typology social network. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google. We use Google Sign-In to create your account. With your permission, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID (the openid email profile scopes). We do not receive your Google password.

Profile information you provide. A username and display name, and anything else you choose to add — bio, avatar and banner images, a signature trait, links, and an infobox of details you enter yourself (for example location or pronouns).

Content you create. The personality types you set, the assessments and analyses you write about fictional characters and about other members (including your written reasoning), comments, community posts, collections, kinlists, follows, and “Useful” reactions.

Images you upload. Avatar and banner images are stored with an object-storage provider on our behalf.

Technical information. To keep you signed in we store a single essential cookie (auth_token), which is HTTP-only and expires after about 7 days. Our servers also keep standard logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to operate the service.
